A mistake-strewn game was settled by a contentious breakaway try scored by the Wellingborough winger.
Towcester had the run of the game for 70 minutes and their own mistakes cost them the game.
Every attacking move that Towcester mounted end up with either a knock on, dropped ball ,forward pass, or turning over the ball to the opposition.
Jamie Cartwright struck first as he smashed his way over the Wellingborough line scoring the first try. Potential tries from Jame Hodges followed as he crossed the try line twice only to drop the ball according to the referee.
Joe Chambers fared no better as he also crossed the line twice to have the same fate as Hodge's befall him.
Just before the end of the first half, Wellingborough after numerous penalties managed to force their way over the line converting their try,
The second half continue in the same vane as the first half , Towcester had all the ball but cough it up to the opposition which was ultimately their downfall.
Wellingborough winning score came from a breakdown 5 metres from their try line with Towcester on the front foot.
The ball miraculously popped out the side of the ruck which was pounce on by the winger who ran the length of the field to score. Converted by a drop kick putting them 9 points in front.
Rob Bodily score the final try which was unsuccessfully converted giving Wellingborough the win.
