Ultimates win again!

Back up the A43 to play another Grudge match but this time it was against Northampton Old Scouts 2nds. We took the same Ultimate game plan like we do week in week out.

The game kicked off and Towcester was camped deep in the Scouts half for the first 10 minutes but nothing broke through till the Ultimates put some phases in and the defence buckled with the pressure put on by the band of ball carrying Forwards which was rewarded with Whitlock getting the first points on the board, making his return to the 3rds that much sweeter. Then for the rest of the half was one way traffic with tries from Lewis, Alpaca, RBL and then if that wasn't enough Bates Jr did his trademark 50 metre dash from kick off.. and going over in the corner. However the Last 5 minutes of the half, Scouts thought they were on to a winner on Towcestrians try line but that was staying shut... for at least to the end of the half.

Second half kicked off and it was all about the Ultimates with Tries from the brutal strength from Kingy and Chappers set the mood sky high for the Mighty Tows once again. Later on in the second half, a Few injuries later we found Alpaca at full back which Led to Scouts first of two tries "hands like feet" which got yelled across the pitch.. that would be true if he was anywhere near the ball in the first place (Dick of the day) but that didn't stop Tows marching on for more, we saw tries from Kingy and RBL both adding to their try tally from earlier in the game, shortly followed by Phil sniping round for his Third of the season. That was enough to see the final Score 10-64.

RBL Kicking was Truly Ultimate, kicked all the hard ones but missed the one straight in front of the post however 70% conversion rate good going!

Towcesterians "ultimates" 3rd team are spending another week at the top of the highest merit league we can possibly go. Well done Gents!
