With a few returning injuries and a couple of colts Tows put on a fantastic display of free flowing rugby and a solid defence. With a big pack Kettering tried to use their size by trucking the ball through the centre but were stopped time and time again with a well organised defence. On the ten minute mark Tows struck and Michael Bagby crashed over for the first points of the half, Ewan Fuller available due to no school game added the extras. Five minutes later the ball was moved through the hands for Sam Pamment to touch down out wide. Only 3 minutes later Tows opened up the Kettering defence and Ryan Blackwell made a break for the line untouched. The game started to even its self out and both sides didn't make a great deal of head way into each others half but a mistake from Tows gave Kettering field position eventually allowing them to score a try. Half time and a few changes and Tows took an early try as Ewan Fuller wormed his way through the defence too score. Numerous attack from both side failed to deliver a score until a line out for Tows allowed Dave Makee to smash his way through the defence to get the next try. Kettering did hit back in the half as Tows ran out of numbers in defence getting their only points of the half. The final score was a great team effort as players attacked and off loaded eventual getting the ball into the centre for Kyle Gibbings a great try under the posts. Sam Pamment added the extras and the final whistle blew. A great win against a good opposition who may have to play against Towcesters second team next season.
