Playing at Roade School due to waterlogged pitches at MO, Tows Colts started the game with positive intent. Dominating early possession, Tows were able to string good phases together the forwards carrying strongly iit was not long before Fly Half Callum Garwood found a space through to open the scoring and convert. Tows kept up the pressure, Lock Charles Wilkins powered over for a try on the left flank after a string of carries from backs and forwards. Starved of possession MO were unable to make much ground in reply in the first half, and near the end of the half Centre Alex Chalcraft managed to jink his way around for a third score between the posts converted by Garwood.
With the wind in their favour Tows were in a position to continue to dominate and take full control of the match, but Men's Own had other ideas, they came back strongly at the start of the half forcing Tows had to dig in on occasions. Injuries to Captain Jake Bates and winger Sam Bean, forced Tows to make changes, and eventually after a long period on the offensive Flanker George Raven threaded his way through the opposition to score in front of the posts, but had to be carried from the field with a suspected cracked rib. The lead was extended by a Garwood penalty kick. The game ended with a period of MO pressure Callum Garwood sent to the bin taking one for the team for infringing, Tows down to 14 eventually conceded a converted try and the match petered out. A lot to do before the next round of the competition a meeting with Buckingham.
