Bletchley RFC U19's 22pts v Towcestrians U19's 19pts

A repeat visit to Bletchley was the venue for the U19's this week.
Same pitch and virtually the same conditions lead to a game of 2 sides who played 2 different styles.
Bletchley boasted a side of Heavier ,Taller and older colts and this really showed in their playing style.
Bletchley quickly showed Towcester their game plan for the off. Lineout Catch ,Maul and Drive. They did this at every opportunity and it worked very well for them. They took the lead very early on and looked as if they would have the upper hand throughout the match.
Tows colts rallied round and showed the opposition that when they had the ball and passed it away from the forwards the could play rugby. Tows hit back with a try from Loz Bexsendale who converted to put tows into the lead.
When they realised that they could run through the back line Towcester played very attractive rugby. It wasn't long before Bletchley struck back just before half time to lead 12 - 7
The second half started quickly for Bletchley who struck again to push further into the lead but missed the conversion. Late it to the half and Harry Charles crashed over for Tows second try which was converted with an excellent kick from Ben Roe that was quickly followed with a try by Dom Preece. Into the last minute Towcester lead by 1 point, but a lack of concentration and decisions by the ref lead to a good attacking position for Bletchley where they scored in the corner with the last play of the game.
Towcester U18's did exactly the same last week to Bletchley but unfortunately it was the U19's from Towcester that where on the receiving end this time.
We have to learn from our mistakes but it behind you and move on with the next job.
Next week we need a win with the U18's.
