After the disappointment of the National Colts cup Towcester game to Rushden with a point to prove. With a fantastic display of attacking rugby Towcester ran at their opposition with every opportunity.
With instructions to tap and go Gus Hopewell, ran the 30 metres to create Towcsters first try. Four more tries came in quick succession,with Rushden never troubling Towcester’s try line. The only response the home side could muster were 2 penalty kicks.
In the second half Towcester went to sleep and Rushden managed to play keep ball in the forwards and score 2 unanswered tries until the backs again unleashed there running abilities to score the final try.
