Llangoed 1-3 Trearddur Bay Bulls

The first of 3 games over the busy Bank Holiday period saw us travel to unbeaten Llangoed
A cagey start from both teams saw a bit of a stale mate the closest effort coming from a knock down header from centre mid Hywel Jones ( sponsored by WR Davies) going narrowly close.
The breakthrough came on 30 mins as captain Iolo Jones ( sponsored by Barry Flash musician) put the ball back in the danger area only for the Llangoed keeper to push in to his own net bein put under pressure off Hari Jones ( sponsored by Hefin Edwards).
Half time 1 up and not even started saw the Bulls tweak a formation to a 4-4-2 and immediately payed off as Llangoed was penned in at times only looking dangerous on the break.
The second came on 52 Tom Hadley fine finish after strike partner Gwynfor Williams ( sponsored by Mark Gibbs) was superbly denied but Tom slotted home the rebound.
Ten mins later it was put to bed as Iolo Jones struck a half volley that flew in the bottom corner from 22 yard giving the Llangoed keeper no chance of saving that was after some fantastic closing down from winger Matty Roberts ( sponsored by Hefin Edwards).
By this time the Bulls looked a completely diferent side from the first and was pushing for more and was denied by the woodwork a 25 yard curling effort from Matt that looked in all the way, Tom Hadley also had a good chance after John Jones flew down the right and put in the ball of the match that Tom just took his eye off.
Llangoed was never really in the gane after the first goal untill they got on the score sheet with only a min to go a deflected shit found the bottom corner.
4 wins from 4 is a unbelievable start with bodies now returning August had been a hard fought month with still 3 games to play.
