History

THE 2008/09 SEASON
Trinity & Quedgeley United FC was founded in 2008 by a group of friends who attend two Baptist churches in Gloucester, Trinity and Quedgeley.
They had heard of a church football league that was running and thought that the city of Gloucester should have some representation in it.
The TQ club board was founded with the following members Dan Eagles, Rob Ellis, Nathan Eagles (captain), Mark Gilmore (Chairman) and Martin Gamston(Secretary/Treasurer). Between them they set about registering the team with the league and the FA and sourcing kit and a playing venue.
It became very clear that this was not a kick about in a park and that we would need to form a competitive team to cope with league football and we set about recruiting our football playing friends and having also agreed that we would like Steve Wellington to be our team manager.
TQ played their first game on 13th September 2008 a home fixture at Windfall way against C3 Diamonds, with Matt Gamston scoring TQ's first ever league goal in a creditable 4-4 draw.
TQ's first victory, a 6-1 trouncing came against the same opposition on 4th October in an away cup game, closely followed with a home league victory 5-1 against Kendal Road FC.
TQ finished their first ever league season in 6th position with a record of:
Played 18 Won 7 Drawn 2 Lost 9 Goal Diff -11 Points 23
Notable victories this season came against Cheltenham Trinity 5-4 and Cornerstone 5-2.
