Joining the exclusive 300 Club.
Congratulations to Chris Boyd on achieving 300 appearances for the 1st XV.
Chris played his first game on October 15th 2005 against New Milton in the Junior Vase 39 – 0 win and was 1st XV leading try scorer in that first season. He clocked up his 100th game on the Isle of Wight on April 11th 2009 when Trojans won the Hampshire Bowl, beating Sandown & Shanklin 21 – 0 and his 200th on the 24th October 2015 in the 27-8 win against New Milton. And, Finally, his 300th appearance on 14th November 2021 at Andover.
Chris spent most of his 16 seasons (so far!) in the centre but then moved to the pack to become a very effective back row. He often appeared on the “leading” list: total points scorer 06/07, 17/08, 08/09 and 18/19; leading kicker 08/09, 18/19, 19/20; and leading appearances 06/07 and 07/08.
