Trojans Academy entertained old rivals New Milton at Stoneham Lane on a bright autumn afternoon. Clearly the extra hour spent in bed had energised Trojans Academy and they signalled their intent with a number of early forays into the New Milton half with Isaac P prominent carrying the ball. As the pack built up steam they created attacking platform after attacking platform.Quick thinking from Tom KO on a penalty advantage enabled him to beat three defenders to score under the posts with Josh G converting, 7-0.
With both teams getting used to the junior pitch the play opened up however most of the game was played in the New Milton half with their attacks being shunted back by the Trojans defence.
The Trojans forwards secured good ball and the ball was passed along the line for Josh G to release a speeding Josh R to score in the corner with Josh G converting to take the score to 14-0.
Half time 14-0.
The second half started with more of the same however New Milton started to come back into the game started to play more in the Trojans half. Midway through the half Trojans forwards secured good ball on the New Milton 22 on the left hand side, the ball went wide quickly with Joe J scoring in the corner, 19-0 to give Trojans a comfortable buffer.

It was a good home win and especially pleasing to keep the opposition to zero. The conversation afterwards between the coaches and the team focused on the areas to work on and improve in the coming weeks
