Trojans and Havant put on a feast of attacking end to end Rugby on a chilly afternoon in Havant

Trojans Academy looked to bounce straight back from their National Cup League cup disappointment the week before with a good performance against their local rivals Havant.
The game started well with Havant attacking from deep with their no10 influential and kicking well for territory and Trojans picking up crumbs of possession where they could. Havant pushed forward and were awarded a penalty that was missed.
This sparked Trojans into life with the forwards combining well to put the ball on a plate for David M to score, 5-0. Havant rallied and won a penalty to take the score to 5-3. Trojans pushed forward again gaining territory in the Havant 22 with the home team defence being put under pressure. Sandwiched between these periods of defence Trojans were seeing opportunities to attack whenever they could.

Quick thinking from no9 Ben S taking a tap penalty enabled the forwards and backs to cook up space for George C to score from,10-3.Tom KO scored the resulting conversion from the touchline,12-3.

Sensing the home team were under pressure Trojans Academy pushed forward again creating an opportunity for Joe J to score in the corner 19-3.The game got close to boiling over with both sides seeking to gain an advantage but the half time whistle arrived.

The second half started with much of the same intensity and Havant pushed forward.and battered the Trojans line.However the defence held firm and did not roll over under some serious Havant pressure.

Always coming from deep Trojans won a line-out 10 metres out from a penalty, which they drove forward with Will B scoring the try to cap off a tremendous performance from him, Tom KO converted 26-3.

Havant Academy came back with several forays deep into the Trojans half but Trojans in defence were steadfast. Eventually Havant scored a deserved try through their forwards which was converted to take the score to 26-10.

The referee blew the final whistle to end the game with Trojans winning 26-10 .In tough conditions both teams had put on a feast of attacking Rugby and a good display of Colts Rugby.

Result 26-10 .

In the post match huddle skipper JC said he was proud of how the team had combined and executed what was expected of them .The coaches were pleased with the performance and felt that the team were learning from the previous week but with a tough run of fixtures ahead there was still more work to do.
