Main Duties:
1. Dealing with all Age Group administration
2. Registering players and officials on the appropriate platforms [SFA/SYFA] and on appropriate forms for passing to Club Secretary [internal]
3. Affiliating the club to appropriate bodies [SYFA and Leagues]
4. Ensuring proper organisation and booking of match facilities, transport etc or delegating as such
5. Attending league or association meetings where appropriate or delegating
6. Organising the Age Group AGM and other Age Group meetings
7. Representing the Age Group at outside meetings
8. Ensuring proper communication between Age Group and Club Committee

AGE GROUP TREASURER
Job Title: Age Group Treasurer – age group 20xx
Responsible to: Club and Age Group Committees and Club Treasurer
Skills and Attributes Required:

• Confidence in handling figures and money

• Prepared to make a regular time commitment
Main Duties:
1. Responsible for the age group finances
2. Ensure age group has bank account in the name of the club and has proper cheque signing procedures (at least 2 signatories for larger amounts) and/or digital system procedures
3. Set up systems for recognising and recording income, especially from weekly/monthly fees – issue receipts where appropriate and keep supporting records
4. Deal effectively with all expenditure required – keep supporting records of all spends
5. Keep up to date records of all the financial transactions of the group
6. Ensure that group funds are spent properly and within specified limits with no commitments which would produce a funds deficit
7. Prepare financial reports and updates to the age group committee on regular basis
8. In agreement with committee, plan the age group budget and monitor throughout the year
9. Comply with requests from Club Treasurer on age group financial position
10. Prepare age group annual statement for AGM
11. Ensure proper procedures are adopted on the closure of the bank account with transparency to age group committee, parents and Club Treasurer.

COACH
Job Title: Coach – Age Group 20xx
Responsible for: Age group coaching procedures
Responsible to: Club Committee/Coach Co-ordinator and Age Group Committee
Recommended
Qualifications: (mandatory SFA Level certification at 1.2 plus First Aid/ Sports Coach UK qualifications if possible)
Skills and Attributes Required:
Coaches should have the ability to:-
• Motivate performers

• Develop an appropriate level of technical knowledge
• Observe and analyse skills and make improvements
• Make use of appropriate equipment and adapt if necessary
• Evaluate all coaching sessions
Main Duties:
1. Consult with team captain/ manager/ organiser about the aims of the sessions.
2 Co-ordinate the coaches and coaching for all teams.
3 To plan, prepare, deliver and evaluate the coaching programme to develop the young players.
4 Provide support and advice to the assistant coaches and helpers within the coaching team.
5 Be prepared to delegate organisational jobs which do not need your coaching skills e.g. keeping the register, equipment and venue hire.
6 Brief all helpers, assistant coaches and players on the aims of the session and the purpose of each activity. Involve all helpers and make sure they are made aware of the value of their input.
7 Liaise with the club committee to ensure that there are regular, appropriate, competitive opportunities for members.
8 Ensure that you are well briefed about any special needs of the participants involved i.e. medical condition/disabilities etc
9 Attend any meetings with fellow coaches, parents and children where appropriate.
10 Make participants aware of their progress.
11 Identify and recruit, in line with club procedures, additional volunteers to assist in the running of the club activities e.g. parents.
12 Ensure the committee is aware of all club activities and encourage strong links and communication between each team through the season.
13 Provide information on where the participants can continue in the sport and liaise with the National Governing Body to access regional and national structure for talented performers.
14 Abide by and promote sound ethics and club policy, child protection, fair play and equal opportunities to all members.
15 Develop own skills by attending SFA coach education courses, SportscoachUK courses and any in-service training that is organised by the club.
16 Ensure that all coaching staff qualifications are kept up to date.
17 Take responsibility for ensuring that the equipment is correct and is kept in good working order.
18 Be aware of and promote the club’s codes of conduct for coaches, players and parents at all times.
19 Be aware of and follow the procedures for recording accidents.
20 Be aware of the club’s Protection policy, Health and Safety policy and Emergency procedures and take responsibility for Health and Safety aspects during activities. Ensure proper first aid procedures are followed at all sessions, games and activities.
21 Ensure that there is an accessible, well stocked first aid kit at the venue and a telephone nearby.
22 Provide information on sports science and lifestyle guidance, where appropriate.

• Prepared to pass on concerns to professional agencies when necessary.

• Independent – putting protection issues first
• Confident in dealing with enquiries and able to respond with evidential results
• Qualified ie member of PVG Scheme and completed SFA protection modules etc
Main Duties:
1. Ensure you are in possession of the club’s Protection procedures and other relevant documentation
2 Be familiar with the club’s Protection Policy and other relevant documentation and legislation
3 Attend appropriate workshops on Good Practice and Child Protection when advised by Club Child Wellbeing Officer
4 Understand the National Governing Body Child Protection procedures, rules and regulations.
5 Establish and maintain the protection procedures within age group at any activities to ensure no harmful, abusive or anti-social events occur – covering players, parents/carers, officials of the club, members of other clubs and spectators where appropriate
6 Establish and maintain the complaints procedures within age group and be the “go to” person for enquiries and complaints
7 Set up procedures within age group to ensure proper protection procedures are communicated to and are followed by all officials, players and parents. Ensure any complainant is aware of the club’s Complaints Policy.
8 In the event of a complaint being made, ensure that the complaints procedures are met re proper investigation and see the procedures through to the final decision. Keep appropriate records of any investigation or communications.
9 Be prepared to work with the Club Child Wellbeing Officer if a complaint escalates beyond the age group including access to previous investigations
10 On establishing any issues relating to protection within age group, immediately communicate such to Club’s Child Wellbeing Officer (or Club Secretary if unavailable) and prepare a report if requested.

• Understanding and following procedures regarding confidentiality
Main Duties:
1 Ensure you are in possession of the club’s Protection procedures and other relevant documentation on First Aid
2. Be familiar with the club’s Protection Policy and other relevant documentation and legislation on First Aid
3. Attend appropriate workshops on First Aid when advised by the Club Child Wellbeing Officer
4. Understand the National Governing Body Child Protection procedures, rules and regulations.
5. Set up procedures within age group to ensure proper health information and procedures are communicated to relevant officials and are followed by all officials, players and parents
6. In the event of a first aid event, ensure that the health procedures are met and see the procedures through to a satisfactory conclusion.

1. Assist team managers, coaches and other officials in whatever capacity is required.
2. Put welfare of players and others at the forefront of all actions.

Job Title: Club Volunteer - Age Group …..
Responsible for: (1st Team/ 2nd Team)

Recommended (as required from NGB certification 1/2 , First Aid/ Leaders qualification/ Sports Qualification coachUK, SFA certification 1,2,3
Skills and Attributes Required:
• Ability to motivate performers
• Ability to communicate effectively
• Sound organisational skills
• Good time management skills
Duties may include:
1 Under the direction of the coach, work with a small group of participants to help them achieve the aims of the session, whether it be practising skills or playing a game.
2 Take on an organising / supervisory role at the beginning and end of the session and during breaks.
3 Keep a register of those attending, along with details of any particular needs they have and emergency contact numbers.
4 Ensure that coaches are well briefed about any special needs of the participants involved (medical conditions/ disabilities etc)
5 In liaison with the Head Coach, ensure that the playing area is safe to use. If there are any hazards which cannot be overcome, point these out to the participants before the start of the session.
6 Identify, if required and in line with club procedures, additional volunteers to assist in the running of the club activities i.e. parents
7 Abide by the Constitution and adhere to all club policies – child protection, fair play and equal opportunities to all members.
8 Take responsibility for ensuring that the equipment is correct and is kept in good working order.
9 Be aware of and follow the procedures for recording accidents.

Main Duties:
1. To co-ordinate the workloads of all the coaches at the club
2. To maintain a database of all coaching qualifications held by the club coaches
3. To develop the skills of the coaches by encouraging them to apply for SFA courses or sporting workshops etc
4. Work with the Treasurer to access funding to support Coach Education from sources such as Sports Councils, local trusts etc
5. Use the experienced coaches at the club in a mentoring role with the less experienced coaches
6. Undergo some mentoring training
7. Facilitate regular in-service training
8. Liaise with Treasurer about expenditure for coaches’ kit and equipment
