TT2007, Valspar

Valspar came out the better side and had TT2007 on the back foot from the very start. Valspar were rewarded with a break on goal and a very good finish for all their hard work. Troon Thistle 2007 restarted and then they went up a gear coming close to equalising. Valspar had not given up and were soon coming down the middle with a strong Archie Alan in goal preventing Valspar from going further in front. Declan Baird began to show his physical side and worked his way through midfield and laid the ball onto Jack Wilson, Jack managed to find Declan Baird and he laid the ball onto Lucas McKenzie who had time and space to fire the ball into the back of the net to equal the score line before Half time. HT 1-1

The half time talk seemed to pick the team up and we witnessed a Troon Thistle 07 team play some fantastic passing games. The movement off the ball and with the ball soon had Valspar running on the back foot resulting in a double corner, the first had the Valspar keeper sending the ball over for the second. Jack Wilson put in a pin point corner for Donny Rorison to rise above all the defenders and header a great goal. 2-1
Soon after Declan Baird made a strong run down the right and turned to pass back to Jack Wilson who jinked into the box and squared across to Sammy Kyle who had the easiest of knock ins to make it 3-1. Then Jack worked his strength to his advantage, receiving the ball on the half way and dribbling through two tackles. before moving to the right of the goal and with a strong shot which beat the keeper at the far post. 4-1
A mix up with the TT2007 defenders managed to keep two Valspar lads on side resulting in a consolation goal 4-2
Player of the match was awarded at full time in front of the boys. They all played very well even the lads who came on late into the game managed to make their mark. But for the time spent on the pitch through the first half and half the second half, The off ball movement, possession and the direct passing to beat the offside trap, assisting three goals and scoring one Jack Wilson deserved todays Player of the Match. That's is two games on the trot now that Jack has been awarded PoM, we are now seeing the benefits that JW is learning to be a team player a great game by all with Drongan away next week we are getting better.
Keep up the good work.
