THE WHITE Tigers let a half-time lead slip to go down 2-1 at home to Wealdstone.
As the rain lashed down, it was the visitors who created the first chance of the game as they fired over in the third minute.
Our first opening arrived just before the quarter-hour mark when Riley-Lowe put in a probing ball which was flicked on by Lewington but his effort went just wide.
At the other end, Rivers did well to keep the visitors at bay as both sides created chances in the opening exchanges.
With 26 minutes on the clock, Thompson fired over before Lewington put another header over following a free-kick from Jamie Richards.
As half-time approached, Harvey went close to opening the scoring but he was denied by a smart save from North in the visitors’ goal.
However, he was merely get his eye in as right on the stroke of half-time, Harvey fired home from a free-kick that gave the ‘keeper no chance.
It meant that we went into the second period holding a one-goal lead but we were pegged back on the hour-mark when Thompson conceded a penalty which our opponents duly converted.
Boosted by the goal, we had to be on our toes to keep our visitors at bay with Rivers doing well with a couple of important saves.
There was a chance for Harvey but he fired into the side-netting after he managed to find some space inside the area.
The scoreline was turned on its head on 75 minutes when Green was on hand to find the net to give our visitors the lead, much to the delight of their hardy band of travelling supporters.
As we pushed for a leveller, it left gaps at the back and we were indebted to Rivers for another key save late on.
With time running out, Lewington went close with a header from a corner but despite our best efforts we couldn’t find a way back into the game.
