THE WHITE Tigers put in a much-improved display against Eastbourne Borough only to be denied all three points by a later leveller.

Lee Hodges made a number of changes to his starting line-up, including handing a debut to the experienced Chris Todd in the back-line.
It was the visitors who drew first blood, though when a corner found Mark Hughes who was on hand to turn the ball beyond the despairing grasp of Tom McHale.
Genuine goalscoring opportunities were at a premium during the opening period for City. A header from Jamie Richards dipped just over as we went in at the break trailing by one goal to nil.
Things improved after the break with City soon getting into our stride and grabbing the leveller just before the hour-mark when Rocky Neal linked up well with strike partner, Louis Rooney on the edge of the area for the latter to fire home with the aid of a deflection.
It was a first City goal for Rooney, who extended his loan spell at the club until January earlier in the week.
The goal gave us a visible boost as the belief came flooding back into the players and we edged in front just seven minutes later when Neal again turned provider as he teed up Niall Thompson to fire low into the bottom corner.
It was no more than The White Tigers deserved as we played some neat stuff. However, as the clock ticked down the nerves appeared to set in and this allowed our visitors to push forward in search of an equaliser.
Despite defending resolutely at times, our resistance was broken late on when Khinda-John cut in from the left-hand side before firing home beyond McHale.
Try as we might, the winner would not come as we had to settle for a share of the spoils in a 2-2 draw.
