MATCH REPORT - Hemel Hempstead Town 0 Truro City 1 - 19/11/2016

A bright start was rewarded when New Zealander, Zane Sole, found the net with a sweet 25-yard free-kick in the 14th minute which flew beyond Jamie Butler in the home goal.
With the travelling contingent in good voice, we looked to build upon the goal as River Allen went close to adding to our tally before a marauding run from Niall Thompson saw his progress halted inside the area.
Holding a one-goal advantage going into the second period, we had to work hard to keep our hosts at bay as they looked to get back on level terms, but we restricted them to very few opportunities.
At the other end, we still looked a threat with Rocky Neal replacing Les Afful and adding energy and drive to the front-line.
There were late chances at either end with Thompson going close for Truro whilst Tom McHale pulled off a smart save and Aaron Bentley got in an important header to clear.
The final whistle signalled a deserved three points on another proud afternoon for the players and excellent travelling fans.
