MATCH REPORT - Truro City 3 St. Albans City 2 - 25/02/2017

In fairness, it was the visitors who looked the most likely side in the opening exchanges as they made a purposeful start.
But with the confidence from our victory in the previous game, we managed to keep our composure before taking the lead just before the half-hour mark when a strike from Ryan Brett was cleared off the line only for Stewart Yetton to react the quickest to guide the ball home.
It was his first goal since his Truro return and saw us go into the interval 1-0 up.
The visitors were soon level after the restart when an inviting corner from David Noble found the head of Tom Bender who planted the ball beyond the reach of Martin Rice.
Parity didn’t last long as The White Tigers roared back in front shortly afterwards when a corner from Brett was curled into the far post where Arran Pugh was on hand to head home.
Our visitors refused to lie down, though, and it was 2-2 when Jamie Cureton intelligently fed Charlie Walker who finished well.
There was still time for us to grab the winner when a foul on the lively Brett inside the area gave us a penalty with 12 minutes to go and Tyler Harvey stepped up to fire home with confidence and panache to give us another valuable three points.
