Harvey goal gives us a share of the spoils...

THE WHITE Tigers shared the spoils with a 1-1 draw at play-off chasing Bath City.
We were caught cold early on when a through-ball played in the home side who won a penalty which Straker converted.
Buoyed by the goal, the home side went close again shortly afterwards but Harding was well positioned to clear off the line.
As we started to get into our stride, a chance opened up for Harvey who failed to make a proper connection and it was easy for the ‘keeper to gather.
Just past the half-hour mark and we worked an opening for Battle whose effort was on target but cleared well in front of goal by Watkins.
At the other end, Rivers did extremely well to deny our hosts with an acrobatic save then was alert to thwart Mann from close range.
There were loud appeals for a penalty right on the stroke of half-time when Thompson made progress out wide and his ball in found Harvey who appeared to be held back inside the area. The referee waved away the protests.
It meant that we went into the break trailing by a single goal but our hosts came out brightly for the second half and put us under pressure straight away.
Having created a number of half-chances, Hinds had a great opportunity to double the lead when he got in behind our back-line but somehow fired wide.
Rivers was being kept busy as he frustrated the home side who continued to push for a second goal.
With Banton on for his debut, his first involvement was to deliver a teasing free-kick which found the head of Battle before our equaliser finally came with ten minutes to go when top scorer, Harvey, was able to add to his tally.
The game petered out after that as it ended with honours even.
