No points, no goals but five yellow cards made it a long trip back this evening for City who went down 2-0 at The Saints' Rowley Park.

Without the unavailable Paul Kendall and suspended Jamie Lowry, Dan Evans was recalled after his one match suspension with Cody Cooke slotting into the right back place. Returning to midfield was Olly Brokenshire and Les Afful, striker Seb Broomfield was on the sub's bench.

Truro started brightly, threatening twice in the first five minutes with Jared Sims close to getting on the end of a George Swain ball into the penalty area, while Matt Andrew's header went into the hands of St Neots' 'keeper Niall Conroy.

Midway through the first half the home side's number 9, Liam Hurst, had a well struck shot blocked and in the 36th minute defender Shane White came to Ollie Chenoweth's rescue in the 36th minute, cutting in to stop Alasan Ann's run on goal after the striker had rounded City's'keeper.

Three minutes later though St Neots went in front as a Hurst shot seem to wrong foot Chenoweth with the ball sneaking in at the near post.

There was still time remaining in the first half for Chenoweth to save a penalty, palming away a Lewis Hilliard effort after Cooke was penalised for hand ball.

Amongst the attendance of 307, some home supporters during the half time break suggested they were doubtful that their team would be able to prevent City from scoring. Early after the break Brokenshire looked to be pushing further forward early on and Neil Slateford volleyed wide.

With City unable to penetrate the visitors defence, manager Steve Massey made a double substitution 20 minutes into the second half with Liam Eddy and Jordan Copp replacing Brokenshire and Sims.

Eddy was soon in the action getting away down the left only for his cross to be agonisingly just too high for Matt Andrew racing into penalty area.

However, in the 75th minute, amidst a suspicion of hand ball, Karl Safee got the luck of the bounce when the ball came back to him after being challenged by Evans and the substitute made no mistake to double St. Neots lead, placing the ball wide of a helpless Chenoweth.

City responded with Andrew thundering a shot against St Neots cross bar, Eddy seeing an effort come off a defender for a corner, and Broomfield blasting wide.

In the end though Massey summed it up the best by saying "it was a frustrating afternoon as we had a lot of possession, but no killer edge!"
