Another away win, but this one was clinched in real style!

A win on the road is always good, a win on the road against a top three side is even better!

Manager Steve Massey thought so: "It was a great performance, fully deserved. I'm so proud of all the players who put in the best shift of the season by far. This was topped off with fantastic support when although totally outnumbered, our supporters outsung the home crowd! What a wonderful feeling to clinch another win, three on trot. All being well, let's now go on and make it four now at home on Saturday"

Dan Green clinched his second successive Saturday "Man of the Match" with two goals, after Cody Cooke had given the White Tigers the lead.

Cooke summed up the afternoon by saying : "It was a great result for all involved at the club today."

Three changes were made from the last outing at Burnham with Arran Pugh suspended, Shane White switched to be a central defender while Warren Daw came in at left back. Jordan Copp and Liam Eddy were replaced with Cooke and Les Afful.

There was also the good news that club skipper Jake Ash can't be too far away from starting a match as he appeared on the subs' bench.

Cooke got us off to a great start with an early goal when he got the ball on the halfway line and made a big diagonal pass to Jamie Lowry. Taking out two St Albans players, Lowry whipped the ball to the back post and with Cooke pulling off the the defender, it was a great finish by the midfielder for his second in two games as he flicked the ball over the St Albans player and volleyed it in to the far corner. No wonder he celebrated with the fans!

Elliot Bailey levelled for the Hertfordshire club soon after the interval with a volley, but this didn't deter City from coming back into the game and within what seemed only a minute or so City regained the lead with Green scoring his first of the season, an effort from the edge of the box.

Goalkeeper Ollie Chenoweth then came to the fore with ensuring there was no way back for the home side with some brilliant stops.

In stoppage time, our third win in a row was clinched with Green finishing off a quick break to leave the scoreline 3-1.

City : Chenoweth; Tully, Daw, Kendall (capt), White, Broad(Copp 85), Green, Lowry, Watson (brokenshire 80), Afful (Eddy 80), Cooke.

Subs not used : Ash and Fisher (gk).

Goals: Cooke (15) 0-1, Bailey (54) 1-1, Green 56 (1-2), Green (90 +1) 1-3.
