This year will see us host the fourth annual “Rugfest,” our Sevens, Real Ale and Music Festival, and this year we are aiming to make it better than ever! The event will commence on Friday evening and run through to Sunday lunchtime (not contiuously!) with a full Programme of Sevens Rugby, Fine Local Ales and Music for all ages!
The Programme is:
Friday - “Taps” – Rugfest starts at 1730 with a U16/17s Festival and a first opportunity to try our locally sourced Ales and great food and get dressed up as the Fancy dress theme of Australia!
Saturday - “Festivale” – the programme continues from 1200 with the main Sevens Competition, further Ale tasting and fine food. We will also have live music and a continuation of the weekends Fancy Dress theme of Australia!
- Hope Valley
- British Army
Sunday - “Last Knockings” from 1200 – 1500 or until the Ale runs out to complete the festivities!
So, how can you help? We were looking to provide a minimum of ten locally sourced Ales this year, but we can now advise that this total has been doubled thanks to the kindness of local Business and Individuals - thank you! So, that's 20 Pins of Ale (36 Pints) to deal with!
For that you will have the satisfaction of knowing that every pint sold will support the Club in its operation – e.g. our new scrum machine has cost circa £6,000 and you will get an acknowledgment both on the cask and in the Rugfest Programme.
