Creditwest 2018 Spring League - the biggest to date!

I am delighted to tell you we now have 9 teams playing in the TRNC League.

Each team will play with the other teams participating in their Group, please note however that there may be a revision to the published fixtures as there is a chance of a tenth team entering the competition.

The following information is also available in the 'DOCUMENTS' section of the website, and it will probably be easier to download/print out from there - see above tab - INFORMATION/DOCUMENTS

PLEASE LOOK AT THE FIXTURE LIST FOR THE DATES & TIMES OF YOUR MATCHES .

The Spring League Entry is 200 TL (Turkish Lira) per team per match and MUST be paid before the Toss. Thıs fee covers the ground hire charges etc for all matches.
All matches will be 20 overs per innings, including the semi-final and final will also be 20 overs per innings.

Hours of Play
Unless otherwise modified by the league or by the umpires on the field, the duration/hours of play shall be as follows;

League Rules
The games will be played according to the ICC rules of cricket, except for the following competition rules:

1. 20 overs/innings. Maximum time allowed 85 minutes
Semi/Final: 20 over/innings. Max time 105 minutes.
Red shirts are not allowed to be worn during matches.

2. Captains of both teams shall write down the names of their 11 (or fewer) players before the toss for the innings and bring that list to the pre-match conference for inspection by the umpires and team captain. The list cannot be changed after this without the consent of the umpire(s) and the other captain.

3. A player not on the list provided by his captain may not bat, bowl or keep wicket, but may substitute for a missing player as allowed by the Laws of Cricket.

4. Games must start on time. Any team not ready to play at the stipulated time will suffer 5 runs/minute (or part minute) late, being added to their opposition’s total (at the discretion of the umpires).
List of player would be given to umpires before the match starts. Late players would be allowing only for 6 overs.

5. All bowling down the leg side will be called wides.

6. All short pitched bowling above shoulder height will be called no balls and a free hit, above the 5 decent inches will be wides.

7. All full tosses above waist height will be called no balls and will be free hit. On first occasion a warning from the umpire, on second occasion the bowler will not be able to continue bowling in that match.

8. Front foot no balls are free hits. Side line no balls are also free hits.

9. Deliveries the umpires consider to be unplayable due to the artificial pitch, will be called a dead ball.

10. Maximum overs/bowler: 20 over games - 4 overs per bowler.
25 over games - 5 overs per bowler.

11. At grounds where bowling is only at one end the batsmen will change ends at the end of the over.

12. All Batsmen must wear helmets. All players must wear proper cricket jerseys and cricket trainers.

13. Only the captain is allowed to discuss with the umpires any matter without stopping the game. Everything should be discussed with the umpires before the match starts and at the end of the match. In the absence of the captain, the vice-captain should lead the team. Leaving a cricket ground or ANY misbehaviour with umpires or with the other team, will lead to that team being excluded from the league, they will also receive a one league ban, or permanent ban from the TRNC Cricket Association subject to ratification by the Disciplinary Committee.

14. All matters should be reported to the TRNC Cricket Association in a decent, formal way, any negative comments or any racist comments and the discussing of any matter on social media or at the ground is strictly prohibited and in such cases, that team will be excluded from the league and may receive a one league ban or a permanent ban from TRNC Cricket Association if necessary.

15. For rain interrupted matches the Duckworth Lewis method will be followed and should a match be called off due to the ground being unfit it will be replayed, subject to the organising committee’s decision

16. If match is a tie then there will be a super over.

17. Semi-final matches – The top two teams from each group will compete as shown in the draw.

Umpires

1. All matches shall be controlled by the Umpires and they shall be responsible for ensuring the conduct of the match is strictly in accordance with the Laws of Cricket and these regulations. They shall be sole judges of fair and unfair play.

2. Umpires should take into account any deliberate slowing down of the tempo of either the batsmen or fielders, where it may be seen to be a disadvantage for the opposition.

3. If, in the opinion of the umpires, there is a deliberate waste of time by the batsman or any member of the fielding side, the umpires are authorized to take action as follows:-
a) For a first infringement, a severe warning to the batsman or the fielder concerned.
b) If the warning is unheeded, the overs bowled short by the fielding side as a result of deliberate waste of time by the batsman, no penalty should be levied to the fielding side .
c) If the warning is unheeded, the overs bowled short by the fielding side as a result of deliberate waste of time by any member of the fielding side, no penalty should be levied to the batting side.

4. The umpires are authorized to assess the time that was wasted in arriving at the number of overs bowled short.

5. The umpires decisions are final on the field of play, but in certain instances both umpires can obviously consult one another before, if it is possible, consulting with the 'third umpire' if required.

6. Sledging and swearing, in any language, is not acceptable and can result in the player's removal from the game. This is up to the discretion of the umpire.

7. Entering the field of play by any players or officials not directly involved in play at the time, arguing with the umpires on and off the field, any form of abuse of the umpires by the players, captains or officials, either on or off the field, before or during or after the match, will be treated as misconduct.

8.Penalty for the Player’s Conduct & Discipline; The Umpire(s) will at all times during and after the match, watch the behaviour for any player(s) or captain(s) or team official(s) or any individual(s) associated with the team(s).

9. Umpiring Fee for whole day Twenty20 Matches has been fixed at 50TL per umpire.

Disciplinary Committee / Organising Committee
The Disciplinary Committee / Organising Committee will be the final authority of all cricketing matters within the TRNC League structure. All team members having read these rules agree to be bound by them and to recognize the BOD/EC as the final arbitrator in all cricketing matters that pertains to the league and all sanctioned TRNC activities.

Note: The decision of the TRNC Cricket Association organising committee/ D.C. will be final in all matters.
