The U12s went into Sunday’s festival with one clear goal: to finish their Minis era with a strong performance on home soil before moving into junior rugby next season.

The squads were split into two leagues:

League 1 (Competitive): Twickenham 1, Kensington Tigers, Ealing Trailfinders, Camberley 1, Windsor 1
League 2 (Development): Twickenham 2, Camberley 2, Windsor 2, Old Ruts, Ruislip
Each match consisted of 7-minute halves with a 2-minute halftime.

Twickenham 1 – Match Reports

Game 1 vs Ealing Trailfinders
A strong opening performance saw Twickenham dominate across the pitch, securing a 5–1 win. Tries came from Parker (2), Jahiem, Toby E, and Anthony. Solid rucking and disciplined defence kept Ealing at bay.

Game 2 vs Camberley 1
After a previous 5–5 draw earlier in the season, this was always going to be tight. Twickenham controlled the first half, with Jahiem breaking through from halfway and Parker adding a second with a trademark run. Camberley fought back in the second half to level the game at 2–2.

Game 3 vs Windsor 1
With Windsor looking for revenge after an earlier defeat, Twickenham delivered another composed performance, winning 3–1. Tries from Parker, Jahiem, and Teddy secured the result.

Game 4 vs Kensington Tigers
Knowing a win would guarantee a place in the final, Twickenham rose to the challenge against a very strong side.
Arthur B opened the scoring with a well-worked try before Kensington responded to level at halftime.

In the second half, Twickenham’s organisation and aggression made the difference. James B powered over from close range, continuing his impressive development this season. Finley then sealed the win with a try in the corner. Final score: 3–1.

The Final – vs Camberley

After a countback on tries, Twickenham faced Camberley in the final—an opponent who had matched them closely all season.

This was a high-quality contest, with both teams showing exceptional skill, physicality, and determination. Tackling, rucking, and ball carrying were outstanding throughout, with neither side willing to give an inch.

Twickenham struck first, with Teddy finishing a well-worked move to score the only try of the game.

The second half was a defensive masterclass. Twickenham were dominant in the rucks and showed real resilience under pressure. A crucial last-ditch tackle from Parker forced a Camberley winger into touch late in the game.

In the closing moments, Twickenham controlled possession intelligently. After a penalty at the breakdown, Finley received the ball from Anthony and kicked to touch to bring the match to a close.

Final score: 1–0 – Twickenham 1 win the trophy.

Final Thoughts

This was one of the most intense performances the boys have produced all season. While Camberley were understandably disappointed, what stood out most was the sportsmanship shown afterward. Twickenham players went over to their opponents, offering congratulations and support—demonstrating the true values of rugby.

A brilliant way to end their Minis journey.

Twickenham 2 – Match Reports

Game 1 vs Camberley 2
Twickenham 2 opened their festival against a very strong Camberley side, who proved just a little too powerful on the day. Despite the 0–4 result, there were plenty of positives—strong forward carries, sharp footwork from the backs, and some excellent jackals at the breakdown. Camberley’s edge in the ruck ultimately made the difference.

Game 2 vs Old Ruts
Old Ruts started quickly and maintained control throughout, running out 3–0 winners. Twickenham continued to show effort and resilience but couldn’t quite turn pressure into points.

Game 3 vs Windsor 2
A brilliant response from Twickenham 2, who found their rhythm in emphatic fashion with a 7–0 victory.

Frankie led the way with a hat-trick, showcasing outstanding pace and finishing down the left wing. Buddy added two tries, with Haylon and Kayden also getting on the scoresheet in a dominant team performance.

Game 4 vs Ruislip
Ruislip, pushing for a place in the Development League final, delivered a strong performance to secure the win and set up their final against Old Ruts.

Ruislip went on to win the final against Old Ruts.

A special thank you to Damien and Chris two club coaches who put their blue Middlesex refereeing shirts on the Ref most of the U12 matches. Great job both of you. You’re lads also done a great job running the touch lines.

Final Thoughts

While results didn’t always go their way, Twickenham 2 never dropped their heads and showed fantastic determination throughout the festival. The effort, attitude, and resilience from every player were clear to see.

The coaches are incredibly proud of the entire squad, who have developed massively over the course of the season. The progress from the first session to now has been huge, and there’s plenty to be excited about heading into the 2026/27 season.
