It was always going to be a tough game with our cobbled together squad facing a powerful Old Albanians B team stacked with some talented players, and whilst the score line paints a certain picture, the reality was far from this.

Despite us starting off conceding 4 tries we kept going and after some good phases from our forwards Jerome dived over the line in his usual fashion to get us on the score board. They got one back before the half time whistle blew to make it 31-5 at half time.

We started the 2nd half off with a bang, immediately putting them under sustained pressure resulting in Adam being able to intercept a pass and dot it down for another 5 points. We kept building with some consistent phases from the forwards which gave the opportunity for Jerome to muscle his way to his second try of the day. To top it all off the pack put in an immense effort to win a defensive scrum on our 5 metre line but the tides had turned and there was no stopping their next three tries.

The game ended 49-15. Players man of the match was Bertie for some exemplary tackles, fantastic support and his usual calm demeanour.

Coaches man of the match went to Charlie for some dominant carries and some great offloads. It was also great to have Ryan back from the U16s, really adding some power at scrum time and Finbar Harris played his first full match, highlighting his progression since he joined us last year.
