Yesterday the club confirmed that Mr. Jonathan Webb would be re-assuming his role as Club President for the foreseeable future.
Jonathan Webb trained as a medic in Bristol and became Club President in 2001. Jonathan had 33 appearances for England between 1987 and 1991, amassing 296 points, reaching the 1991 World Cup Final and winning two Five Nations grand slam titles. He also played for both Bristol RFC and Bath RFC just before the game turned professional. He currently practices as an Orthopaedic Surgeon in Bristol and London and has been hugely successful over the years pioneering new techniques with regards to knee surgery. Unfortunately the club lost contact with Jonathan over the past couple of years, but it is the biggest honour to welcome him back into his role as President and look forward to having a fantastic season with him overseeing the club. Hopefully with his expertise, the club will go from strength to strength and experience its most successful season yet!
If there are any Old Boys or ex-medics who have an interest in working with Jonathan in a rapidly evolving club as part of the executive committee, then please do not hesitate to contact first team captain Clement Stratford via firstname.lastname@example.org or 07584098955.
