After a weekend of extreme excitement in Armagh the UCC Rugby train rolls on to Nenagh this Saturday for the Energia AIL Div 1A Promotion Final. President Charlie Haly is rounding up the support troops and encouraging the entire club to make the journey to North Tipp for this huge game for UCC Rugby. A supporters bus is available and tickets for same can be booked at https://app.tickettailor.com/event/ev_6019350
So what else can be said about the Armagh game. To go north to Armagh and win at their home ground by a score of 10-17 and never be led during the game tells its own story. Daniel Squires and Gene Kareem provided the tries with dead-eye Daniel also slotting two conversions and a penalty. However, to say that it was just two players playing well would be unrepresentative of the match. Everyone showed up. The tackling was fierce. The hits were shuddering. But UCC stood its ground and were never intimidated. Not too many Munster clubs that travel to Armagh can say that.
The video of the game is available at https://www.pitchero.com/clubs/uccrugbyalumni/videos/20250419-city-of-armagh-rfc-vs-ucc-rugby--playoff-semifinal-210511.html. There is no audio for the first half but the local video team got that fixed for the second half.
