Oban Lorne 38 - 10

It was always going to be a difficult task for the Villagers on Saturday as they made the long bus journey to face unbeaten league leaders Oban Lorne at Glencruitten.

Despite a brave performance, the final score of 38 -10 sees Oban continue their run at the top of the table and gives the Villagers their first defeat in 6 outings

The half time score of 24-3 had all but wrapped up the outcome, with the Villagers only points coming from the boot of Cammy Quinn.

The second half saw a stronger performance by Uddingston but they could only add a converted try to their tally, Willie Irvine crossing the whitewash and Ru Anderson adding the conversion

Unfortunately, it wasn’t enough to trouble their hosts who added 2 further converted tries to round off the game

No fixture next Saturday while Scotland face Argentina at Murrayfield but the action restarts on 26 November when the Villagers head to Strathaven to kick off the second half of the league campaign, and with revenge in their sights after losing out at Castle Policies in the first match of the season. Kick off at 2pm at Whiteshawgate
