Prestwick batting first on a belter of track scored runs freely after the loss of an early wicket to Sandy Bawa. Loose balls were put away and Prestwick were looking to score comfortably in excess of 250. However, Dusty removed the dangerous Carlyle for 68 and Buttman had Stafford caught behind for 73. The run rate slowed down as Bothwell maintained some control but Prestwick still managed to end the innings on 239 for 6. Pick of the bowling was Sandy with 2 -22.
Uddingston reply started in the worst possible fashion with Dusty and Ryan back in the hut after 2 overs. However , Robbo and Nick batted sensibly and put away the loose stuff as they rebuily the innings. They brought up their hundred run partnership before Robbo fell for a valuable 43. Sandy Bawa then joined Nick and together they also put on a hundred run partnership with Nick accelerating through the gears. He brought up a well deserved 100 and eventually when he was out for 128 the game was all but won. Andy and Fergus were there at the end to ensure another 25 point haul.
Next up is a strong Kelburne side who are currently sitting just behind Uddy in the table, in third place. The match is on Saturday at the policies and starts at 12 noon
