Uddingston are out of the McCulloch Cup losing by eight wickets to West of Scotland.
Winning the toss, the home team decided to bat, and Zaighun Ahmad and Mohammad Awais contributed 48 before Ahmad fell lbw to John Oliver. Niall Alexander came in and provided the basis for the innings, supported first by Gavin Bradley and then by Ross Lyons. Alexander hit three sixes towards the end of the innings and Uddingston eventually reached 133-5 in 20 overs. Ben Cole was the best of the West bowlers taking two wickets.
In reply, Ahmad and Awais took one wicket each and West had reached 72-2 half way through their innings, Andy Hislop scoring 23. John Oliver also scored 23 and he and Iain Young controlled the innings from this point - the latter eventually scoring 63 not out from 48 balls. This was enough for West to reach their target with 1.3 overs to spare. West won by eight wickets.
