Uddingston beat Ferguslie by seven wickets at Meikleriggs in the sixth round of matches of the WDCU Premiership.
Winning the toss, the home time decided to bat first. They managed to score 159 in 47 overs, with the only significant contribution coming from Taimoor Ahmad (75 from 123 balls). The bowling was a team effort all with six bowlers taking wickets: Zaighun Ahmad, Aamir Gul, Ross Lyons and Thomas Wilmott (two each), and there was one each for Niall Alexander and Abdul Sabri.
In reply, Ahmad and Gul both fell to Muhammad Ghaffar early on, with the score at 30/2. This brought Muhammad Awais and Gavin Bradley to the crease. Runs came steadily from both batsman at approximately a run a ball. When Awais was out (scoring 41 from 41 balls) Uddingston were 79/3. Bradley continued to hit the ball to all corners of the ground, supported by Fergus Clarke, Bradley top scoring with an undefeated 70 from 78 balls. Uddingston won by seven wickets.
