Rain washes away Union's hopes of a upset

Union's away trip to Uitenhage was over before it even started on Sunday as their game was called off without a ball being bowled . Late Saturday afternoon rain and thunder storm put pay to any hopes Union had of upsetting Uitenhage . A grave attempt was made to get the pitch ready for some cricket but it fell short when at 10.33am the Umpires called the game off .Split points and a dropped chance for Uitenhage to gain some ground on the log leaders .
