DU Rugby squad gets some expert tips from PRO Rugby Head Coach on collision area

With the DU Rugby squad entering there final week of practice and preparing for the final game of the fall season against the #5 New Mexico Vatos, the DU Rugby coaching staff decided to invite Denver Stampede Head Coach Sean O'Leary to lead a session with the team.

"We are fortunate to have wonderful connections in the rugby community and with the Denver Stampede calling the University of Denver 'home' this past summer, we had an opportunity to build a relationship with head coach Sean O'Leary," shared Stuart Halsall, "Sean offered to help earlier this fall as he loves coaching and has worked as the head coach of Notre Dame rugby before so he has a fantastic connection to the collegiate players."

Sean O'Leary led a session for the team on the collision area and all of the players and coaches were impressed with what they learned in the session. The players responded well and greatly improved over the course of the session.

"We truly want to thank Sean for his time and willingness to share his knowledge with our club," shared Stuart Halsall, "It was an enjoyable session all around and most importantly the team got better as the result of this session. We will host Sean at a hockey game in the near future as a token of our appreciation and hope to work with him and the Denver Stampede at the University of Denver in the future.
