As some of you may or may not be aware, following the very wet weather recently, the playing fields at Upminster are in a terrible state and the club have deemed the pitches unsuitable for training for the next wee while. In light of this and taking into account the freezing conditions this last week at Romford which had a number of the children in tears (and a few of the parents not far behind) we have looked into an indoor venue for training.
For the training sessions this coming Sunday 20th January, then Sunday 27th January and Sunday 3rd February we have hired the sports hall at Coopers Coborn School, St Marys Lane, Upminster 10.30 -12pm (same times as usual). Unfortunately the cost of the hire is not covered by the club and so we will have to ask for a £2.50 donation per training session to cover the cost however I hope that you will agree that this is a small price to pay for not freezing to death with miserable children!
We will adapt our training to be suitable to the indoor environment and the school have asked that only white soled trainers are worn in the sports hall.
