The Gandon-Prodger Legacy Fund is part of the Club Cricket Charity. It is named after Nick Gandon (a former Minor Counties cricketer and for many years a teacher and coach at Uppingham School). You can read more about this initiative and other things the Fund aims to do here: www.theclubcricketcharity.org
The Charity is on a mission to scour the world’s attics, sheds, and cupboards for old and unused cricket bats that can be refurbished and sold cheaply.
Do you have an unused bat that you would be prepared to donate? If so, the charity will have it professionally refurbished and either donate it to a disadvantaged, deserving young cricketer or re-sell it at an affordable price to those who need it.
Bats of any size are welcome. They don’t have to be in perfect condition, just good enough that they could be refurbished.
Bats can be left at the Uppingham School Porters Lodge (directly opposite the One Stop shop on High Street West. Please advise that they are for the Gandon-Prodger Legacy Fund.
Thank you for your support.
