Peter Parker Shaw Scholarship
Peter Parker Shaw, a graduate of USF, received his Master’s Degree in Public Administration. An avid rugby player for over 25 years, he played last for the St. Petersburg Pelicans Rugby Club and prior to that played for the Daytona Beach Coconuts Rugby Club. Sadly, Peter passed away in May 2010 after a three year battle with cancer. Peter’s family decided to honor their father by creating the Peter Parker Shaw Scholarship, whose mission is to raise money for college rugby players who exemplify character, leadership, and scholarship.
Objective:
To provide financial assistance to qualified members of USF Rugby Club.
To Be Eligible:
Priority in considering eligibility will be given to players who:
 Showed excellence in Rugby and High School/Under 19 level and/or
 have assisted in the management of the USF Rugby club and/or
 have shown leadership characteristics on and off the field, and
 are enrolled FULL TIME at USF Tampa campus, and
 regularly earned a starting position in USF Rugby "A" side, and
 regularly attended USF practice sessions and other events, and
 maintain a GPA average of 3.0.
Special consideration will be given to players still at High School but who have been accepted by USF for enrolment FULL TIME at USF Tampa campus.
Application:
Applicants will need to be received no later than November 12/March 31 each semester. The award will be distributed the following semester through the USF financial aid office.
Applications should show evidence of each point, have letters of recommendations from 2 coaches (one must be a current USF Rugby coach) and include a short essay (500 words) explaining how Rugby has positively impacted their life.

Joshua (Epic) Faile Scholarship Joshua Ryan Faile, a graduate of USF, was a four year starter on the USF Rugby team. An avid Rugby player and OUTSTANDING teammate, Josh left a lasting impression on anyone that played alongside him. Sadly, Josh passed away in January, 2014.
Objective:
To provide financial assistance to qualified members of USF Rugby Club.
To Be Eligible:
 Recipients must be full-time students;
 A member of USF’s Rugby Team (USA Rugby Univ. South Florida Rugby Club 23615)
 Be in good standing with the University of South Florida and the USF Rugby Club.
 Strong consideration will be given to students who have demonstrated qualities of leadership, on and off the playing field,
 Display extraordinary character and moral fiber;
 Be someone who goes out of their way to help the team or a team mate
 Maintain a GPA average of 2.75..

The YoungBull Scholarship will be a way to recognize and reward those players that participated in the High School Rugby and then continue their playing career with the University of South Florida Rugby Football Club. Each year, the USF Rugby Football Club Old Boys award scholarships to players that participated in the High School Rugby the previous year and are completing their Freshman year with USFRFC. Recipients are selected based on their contribution to the club and commitment to excellence in rugby and in the classroom.

The Unstop-A-Bull Scholarship This will be the top tier scholarship offered to all USFRFC Players within their five years of eligibility. This scholarship will go to those who demonstrate professionalism, and leadership both in the classroom and on the pitch. This player will be dedicated to USF Rugby and participate in all team events to include, games, recruitment, fundraising and philanthropy

Joshua Ryan Faile, a graduate of USF, was a four year starter on the USF Rugby team. An avid Rugby player and OUTSTANDING teammate, Josh left a lasting impression on anyone that played alongside him. That impression was, as Josh’s teammate, you could always count on him to be there for you on and off the field. Sadly, Josh passed away in January, 2014. In honor of Josh’s spirit and unwavering “teammates first” attitude, the Josh Faile Reli-A-BULL Scholarship has been created to provide financial assistance to members of the USF Rugby club who exemplify similar characteristics.
