Plastic Waste & Litter Awareness

Dear All
I've been asked to raise awareness amongst club members regarding plastic waste and litter at the club and how we all can contribute towards reducing this during the cricket season.
Plastic cups obtained from the bar for water and plastic soft drink bottles have been increasingly littered around the ground, in particular around the net area. To reduce the litter left on the ground and increase our awareness of plastic waste can we please take note of the following actions when playing matches or training on the ground:

1. Plastic cups obtained from the bar for water will now cost 10p per cup. It is encouraged that all Colts and Senior playing members bring water bottles to the bar to be filled with water for FREE. Please, can we all start to do this as of now.

2. All Colts Managers and Senior XI Captains, can you ensure that your teams and opposition on training and match nights do not leave litter lying around after games and training nights. We must all be proactive in tackling this issue and contributing towards a litter-free environment.

Kind Regards
David Walker
Cricket Development manager
Uxbridge Cricket Club.
