VIGO RFC are pleased to announce that they will be re -opening their club house from 13th July 2020
Club opening hours will be:
Monday – Friday 3.00 pm – 6.00 PM
Saturday and Sunday – 12.00 PM – 4.00 PM
The club will be operating a one way system within the club house and a queuing system at the bar – we would kindly ask you to take your drinks outside on the patio and grass areas and not remain within the club house
Last orders will be called shortly before closing on each day and the club will be closed and locked – individuals will not be allowed to continue drinking once the bar is closed
There will be NO CREDIT allowed at the bar and anyone with tabs that have not been settled will be asked to settle these before they are allowed any further drinks- we appreciate these are difficult times for everyone but the club cannot subsidise individuals during this period as we are sure you will understand
There will be a one way system in to the bar and there will be a maximum of 3 people allowed to queue for drinks at any one time within the clubhouse – in the initial stages Sue will be the only person behind the bar as we do not wish to take on the extra risk and responsibility of additional bar staff so we will be asking everyone to be patient in getting their drinks. Every one attending the club will be required to provided their name and contact details , email and Tel no in the event of an infection outbreak so they can be contacted – this information will be kept securely . There will be someone at the door each day to take the information and to monitor access into the club .
The toilets will be open but on a one way access and exit system and only one person in the gents urinal at any one time
Once you have your drink you will need to take this outside and ensure that suitable social distancing is maintained whilst outside the club - The club will be using plastic glasses and individuals will be asked to dispose of their glasses , please do not leave these lying around for someone else to pick up.
We look forward to welcoming you back to the club on 13th July
We cannot stress enough the importance of Social Distancing. You younger people might think you are immune but you can be a carrier, and you could carry this virus home, so PLEASE don't be like the other ignoramusses who flock to the beach or protest with nary a care. If you are sensible, then there is every chance that we can continue to open the Clubhouse, meet our friends and have a pint . If things go Pete Tong then we shall be forced to close the Clubhouse. So it is down to you. EVERYONE needs to police themselves and others.
Personally I look forward to seeing you all back.
I've missed you all.... even Pilchard.
