This has been an incredibly difficult few days for Vigo RFC. It has been the worst of days for a much loved member of our community , Bob Fitton, and his family. Joe was a sweet kid, not a bad bone in his body, and every parent, every brother and sister, will, to some degree, feel the pain and loss that Bob, Jayne and their families are feeling now.

The respect shown by this club, Rob Jones beautiful words before Saturday’s game, the fact that relative newcomers and old players alike wanted to play to show respect to one of the nicest blokes you would want to meet, and the huge crowd that attended Saturday’s home match just to be there… to show solidarity.... reminds me why I love this Club. We are Vigo, we are family.

Our thoughts and prayers go, too, to Charlie Carver and his family and we all pray that Rebecca Sharp will make a full recovery.
