He was taken from us very suddenly whilst on holiday in Croatia. Funeral arrangements are undre way and we will let friends and family know as soon as a date has been arranged.

From a personal point of view, Martin was a great friend to Vigo RFC, doing an incredible amount of work, mostly behind the scenes. Of course, his legacy will always be the brickwork around our patio. Martin was one of the good guys, with a dry sense of humour. He will be sorely missed by all his friends at the rugby club.

But, of course, our hearts go out to Yvone, to Philippa and Sean and their children, to Ben and Rian. Our love and prayers will be with you all in these dark and difficult times.

Martin's funeral will take place at St John the Baptist, Meopham DA13 0AA at 12 pm on Thursday 1st August.

Burial for close friends and family will be at Stansted Church.

There will be a chance to raise a glass or two to Martin's memory at Vigo RFC at 1.30

The family have requested no flowers. They would rather donations to either Air Ambulance or The Rainbow Trust.
