Terry Papworth joins Vigo RFC

We are delighted to announce the arrival of Terry Papworth as Head Coach for the following season.

Terry has plenty of experience both in playing and coaching. At the moment he is Head of Rugby at Gravesend Grammar.

His coaching certificates:-
England Rugby Coaching Award
RFU Skill Development
RFU Director of Rugby

Having started his playing career at Gravesend RFC Minis, he went on to play for London South East Under 16's,before joining Saracens Academy. He went on to join the Army, where he captained the Royal Tank Regiment and the Royal Army Corps. He also captained Eastleigh RFC and Gravesend RFC before retiring as a player.

Terry tells me -
'' Having finished my playing career, I am thrilled to have been asked to become Head Coach at Vigo RFC. Having played against Vigo, I know from first hand how passionate and committed the players and members are to the Club, and I look forward to becoming part of this.
My vision for Vigo is to build a cohesive, dynamic team as well as giving every player the opportunity to reach their full potential.

I am eager to work with the players, staff and supporters to help Vigo reach new heights and achieve great things''.

MOG says: It only leaves me to welcome Terry to our Club, and hope that all players and supporters welcome him and support him in his plans. We can do that by attending the training sessions which will be starting in the near future (watch this space for details.) But it is also up to each and every one of you players to maintain some kind of fitness outside the training sessions.
