Grassroots football would be nothing without the hard work of all the volunteers on club committees up and down the country. These amazing people devote their time for free to help run team sports which is often challenging and time consuming but we do it for the love of the sport. Its hard enough normally but during these strange times with the restrictions caused by COVID its even harder.

Fortunately at Waddington we are blessed with a very good Committee and support team. They help us get the pitch ready each week, put our COVID procedures in place, paint and restore changing rooms each season (even though we cant use them) apply for grants, run the website, help run the teams, cheer us up when we are down and put up with us when we have won!

Their dedication is what makes team sports and particularly football great, its what keeps us all sane in these crazy times, gives us release from the trials and tribulations we all go through in our daily lives and helps us make the friends we keep for most of our lives.

So to Geoff, Dave, Steve, Luke, Don, Adrian and Neil and the other people involved in running our club and to all the committee members and volunteers at grassroots football throughout Lancashire, thank you from the Managers and Players. We couldn't do what we do without you.
