LOOKING AHEAD TO THE NEW 2026 / 27 SEASON
After what seems like a pretty short break the Club is starting to gear itself up for the new season. The senior coaches and the captains and vice captains are in position and the players have started training.

New for this season we have appointed a Director of Rugby whose job will be to work with the coaches and act as a go between them, the players and the committee. He will also help with the transition of our younger players from Juniors into Colts and from Colts into Seniors.
As well as getting everything in place on the playing side a lot of work has been carried out to improve the pitches. The terribly wet winter played havoc with them especially as they had to be used so much. During the spring the playing surfaces were dug to break up the hard pan that had developed, rolled, extra topsoil added, seeded and fertilised. They were then cut several times, fertilised again and now in the hot weather they are being irrigated. This huge amount of work has been carried out by Club members, Andrew and Oliver Hawkey, Gav West, Steve Pearce and Chris Tucker. Thanks also to Mathew Wills and Nigel and Chris Davey for their help.
By the time September comes along we hope the pitches will be in top shape, the players fit and raring to go and the Clubhouse and it’s surrounds looking neat and tidy - all ready to welcome our members, our supporters and our opposition to Wadebridge Camels Rugby Club.
