Wadebridge Camels head coach Mike Rawlings had mixed feelings after his side suffered a second successive league defeat, going down 29-13 at Crediton.
“We probably fell asleep only twice in defence and they had two very easy scores. We played a lot of rugby inside their half, and their defence was brilliant, but maybe we tried forcing it a bit too much,” he said.
Former Exeter Chiefs winger Jason Luff grabbed two tries, including a 60-metre interception after only two minutes, and thought he had a hat-trick in the second half, only for the referee to give a penalty try instead.
Crediton’s other touchdown came from Mark Lee, who also kicked three conversions and a penalty.
Wadebridge’ s sole try came from prop Jack Scott, with Danny Thomas converting and kicking two penalties.
