three camels play in County victory

Three Wadebridge school year 10 students made the county team and played against somerset in a physical encounter at Newquay.
Callum Bennett played at prop, Hugo culverhouse at second row and Owen Wilson on the flank. All played well and did the camels proud with their effort, skill and attitude.

Hugo was a menace at the lineout and made sone nice carries with the ball in hand. Callum made his considerable presence felt in the scrum and at the break down as well as running with strength and power before his day was sadly cut short through injury. Owen played with energy and was impressive clearing out and stealing ball at the break down. He also chipped in with a try saving tackle and the final hit of the game which caused somerset to knock on and preserving the wind.

In a very close game Cornwall prevailed with a 10-7 win, and in such a close contest the Wadebridge boys should be proud of their performance
and the result. Well done lads!
