The Bridgers 1st team slumped to their 8th home defeat of the season against Millbrook but put in better performance. Sacha had to change things around with players out injured and the players responded to the challenge.
The first 20 mins was tit for tat as both teams could have taken the lead, but it all changed in the 25th min when a misplaced pass found Millbrook's Lee Hawkins all on his own in the Bridgers penalty are and he duly netted. Undeterred the Bridgers tried to force a leveller, with the nearest coming from a Sam Cooper effort that went just wide.
Worse was to come in the 35th min as Millbrook through Jason Richards made it 2-0 and two minutes later, a free kick from Tom Payne eluded everybody in the Bridgers penalty are and it was 3-0.
HT: Bridgers 0-3 Millbrook
The second half saw Millbrook happy to soak up anything the Bridgers could throw at them, and they seemed comfortable until the introduction of Callum Wilson and Gwion Robertson, it was at this point the Bridgers really pressed their opponents and nearly scored when a Sam Gerken shot was diverted on to the post and into the grateful arms of the Millbrook keeper.
