Memories and tales have flooded in recently for our reader to enjoy however some are too unprintable/unbelievable/unreadable (predictive text chaos) to publish here. One, however, has stood out as the perfect example of what we were looking for. Embracing all the aspects of what our game/club is about. You can click on the Documents section below for the article.
Many stories/recollections can be heard on a Saturday in Clubhouses across the land. After 4 or 5 pints the tales come thick and fast. At least, they did before the 2020 pandemic put a temporary end to all forms of amateur contact sport and beer consumption.
With that in mind, and with the current lock-down, and as there has been scant opportunity to wallow in the memories of our playing days recently, there is an opportunity for anyone who has such a tale of rugby magic to get it down on paper and on to this site.
The funny tales, the tales of game time brilliance, the extraordinary occurrences, and the moment of a comment or observation. Don’t keep it to yourself share it with us.
For current players, (as we do have upwards of 20 players training regularly Tuesdays and Thursdays) if you have something amusing that sounds as good when you are sober as it does when you are not, have a go, send it in. You can mail a Rugby tale or two here or on the Whatsapp page.
