More celebrations for Willow's men!

Our second team have won the Chester Cup for the third time after easing to an eight-wicket win over Formby in the final.

Fresh from retaining the Premier League title last week, Willow's men were able to celebrate another fantastic achievement in front of their home supporters.

Earlier in the day, they made light work of Bootle in the first semi-final as some ferocious hitting from Joel (60 off 36 balls; 9 fours and 2 sixes) and Rylo (81 not out off 37 balls; 11 fours and 3 sixes) helped them amass a supreme total of 203 for 5.

In reply, our opponents were bowled out for just 72 with Keogh doing the damage with brilliant figures of 4 for 17.

Joining us in the final were Formby after they overcome Newton-le-Willows in their semi.

On a sun-soaked evening (and in front of a growing crowd), the Sey found themselves fielding first.

Keogh produced another impressive spell of 2 for 10 to give us an early advantage. After Tom Mills had contributed 26, the visitors stumbled to 57 for 5.

Charles Gallagher led his side's recovery with a crunching 45 off 30 balls but struggled to gain much support from his teammates as Toffo bagged himself three wickets.

Towards the end of the innings, Nathan picked up a run-out and the key scalp of Gallagher as Formby finished up on 112 for 9.

Our reply began swiftly with Milesy hitting a series of boundaries before Joel fell to Archie Davies.

Davies then bagged the key scalp of Milesy for 28 (off 17 balls) only for Rylo and Yozzer to spearhead our recovery.

The pair produced an unbroken stand of 82 that didn't need to rely on explosive hitting. By the end of the run chase, both batsman had finished with unbeaten 30s as the cup was clinched with two overs to spare.

As to be expected, there were plenty of celebrations for the lads afterwards. Once again, another big congratulations to Willow and co. on a marvellous double!
