Title-winning 2s aim for cup glory.

The end is nigh for the 2021 season as we head into September.

After the ecstasy of retaining the 2nd XI Premier Division title last week, Willow's second team are back in action across this weekend.

The champions will look to end their league campaign strongly as they host Lytham at the KJM Oval tomorrow.

That is then followed by their participation in this year's Chester Cup Finals Day, which takes place on Sunday. As hosts of this year's event, they lock horns with Premier League rivals Bootle in the first semi-final, with the winner up against Formby or Newton-le-Willows in the final.

We wish Willow and his team the best of luck in their bid to clinch the double.

Elsewhere, Captain Al's first team make the long trip to East Lancashire to play Orrell Red Triangle in the faint hopes of taking advantage of a Northern slip-up.

The Sey will also be looking to avenge their agonising one-wicket loss against the same opponents back in June.

Finally, Lucko's third team will be desperate for a positive result on Saturday after their previous game was cancelled through COVID. They have home advantage at the Bebington Oval as they take on Sefton Park.

Once again, we appreciate any great support by all supporters across both days. Up the Sey!
