Wood welcomed Tividale FC to the newly renamed Titan Recruitment Stadium on Saturday 28th August to open the bank holiday weekend. Attendance 104.

Walsall Wood wanted to get a win from this game to make it two on the bounce and another clean sheet so Wood came out all guns blazing, and within the first minutes, Jai Verma had a shot on target which the Tividale keeper saved. However, in the 9th minute Wood broke the deadlock with a free kick dragged along the floor by Ryan Boothe to get Wood off the mark. The hosts were dominant at the Titan Recruitment Stadium but as soon as keeper Landers was called into action to make an easy save from a shot. After twenty minutes, Wood thought they had scored a second, however, the linesman raised their flag which was very upsetting for the Wood supporters and players. The players then partook in a drinks break midway through the half due to the soaring temperatures at WS9 and shortly after, play resumed. Tividale forward Melvin had a strike that went wide, keeping the score line in Walsall Wood's favor. Wood kept having many chances, especially from corners, but the visitors did well to clear them. With just under ten minutes remaining, new signing Asa Charlton plunged and headed a ball sweetly into the net from a whipped-in ball to make it a greater two goals to nil advantage for the Wood. Both teams then went in for the half-time break with Walsall Wood being in the lead.

The second half started pretty much where Wood left off and Hayden Purves put the ball into the back of the net, however, it was ruled offside. Adam McGurk then made way for Kaden May to enter the pitch and within minutes may had a shot that forced the Tividale FC keeper into a great save. Wood, then a couple of minutes later, got their third goal thanks to Jai Verma after a shot from the edge of the box which sent the Wood fans wild. Players then had a second-half drinks break yet again due to the hot weather during the bank holiday Saturday. New signing Dalitin Ticha then came on to the pitch for his Wood debut to replace Joe Fitzpatrick. Tividale then began to press and had a corner that went wide from the ball in. Goalscorer Boothe, then came off with just under ten minutes to go for youngster Tyrese Hall up top. Jai Verma later then had a shot but unfortunately was off-target. In the dying minutes off the game, star player Verma exited the pitch for defender Kam Campbell as Wood looked to solidify their lead. Then, the referee finally blew the full time whistle and Walsall Wood took home all three points.
