The vets travelled to Buntingford on Sunday and came away with a hard fought point.
Going behind in the 1st minute the old abbots just didnt get out of bed, gradually finding a bit of heart to force a penalty which was despatched by Mickey Hearn 1-1. The whole side just wasnt at the races and Buntingford took the lead again with more than a little help from the abbots back line HT 2-1.
After the break the old boys took control and found the equaliser from a fantastic individual goal from John Hayes, who picked the ball up from the centre of the park and drove forward before unleashing a right foot drive into the bottom corner from 30 yards.
One good chance came the old boys way but they were unable to take it.
Worst performance of the season but still remain unbeaten.
